Have you ever gone through a season where you are just overwhelmed, exhausted and just plain tired? Well, that would describe how the Georges have been lately.
Let’s see, since I last wrote, we put our house on the market and had it sold within a week, while looking for a house to move into. Imagine the pressure of finding a place quick! And quick it was- we found a house in 3 days. After a week of offers and counter offers, we are now hopefully closing both deals next week! From start to finish- less than a month. If that’s not a miracle, not sure what is! But it’s definitely been a tiring process with a ton of prayer.
At the same time, we received notice that our adoption agency isn’t able to sustain their India program. They were dependent on new applications but are not able to accept new applications because of how many families they have waiting. In order to resolve this issue, they had to merge/transfer their India program families to another agency. Needless to say, we are in the transitioning phase which includes a lot of unknowns with regards to fees, paperwork and timelines.
With the whirlwind of things going on, I am reminded in Matthew 11:28-30 where God says, “Come to me all who are weary and heavy burdened and I will give you rest”. Now, who can resist an offer like that? 😉
