When Things Go From Bad to Worse

Okay, so did I tell you that we finally moved in to our new home? Yup! Moved in and most of our unpacking complete..whew.

During these last few weeks, we’ve also been waiting on our former agency to tell us how much of a refund we’ll be receiving in order to pay our new agency. Well, this week we were informed that we won’t receive a refund at all because of where we are in the process. Talk about some sinking news…I could swear my heart felt like the titanic. And today, we received an email letting us know that we have a two week deadline to pay a huge sum of money before the new agency will continue processing our paperwork- that was like the cherry on top! Did I mention that I hate those maraschino cherries on top???

But you know what the cool thing is? God’s been bringing to my memory all the times in the past when we had experienced similar situations and how He had provided for us. Psalm 34:8 (in the Bible) says “Taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.” I can honestly say that we’ve tasted him….and he tastes nothing like those cherries. 🙂
