NOC

The Prized NOC

We got it! We finally received our NOC – our No Objection Certificate from India that basically gives us country-approval to adopt our little girl. This is a HUGE milestone for us, with minimal steps before we can go get her.

I may need to clarify though- minimal steps doesn’t mean it’s a quick timeline. From what we understand, our case is now being filed in the Indian court system. We just need 2-3 court approvals and then wait until her passport is issued before we can prepare to travel. However, the court process can take up to 5 months. Let’s just hope it’s not so… I’d love to meet my youngest before she turns two.

At church this week, our pastor talked about how no one can hold onto time. It gets spent quickly and there’s no way of getting it back. What a great reminder to live life to the fullest with purpose, intentionality, and love – enjoying each day.

So for now, I am content and so very thankful for the progress. Until the next step is completed, I’ve determined to enjoy life with my first and second born who know how to talk, eat on their own, go potty on their own and sleep in their own beds! Before we know it, we’ll be in diaper changing & high chair mode…so although I look forward to having my family together, I’ll embrace today – just as it is.

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it. – Psalm 118:24 (NKJV)

Man is like a breath; his days are like a passing shadow. -Psalm 144:4 (ESV)
