So it looks like we’ve hit a speed bump! We received our referral late November and were told we would get more information within a matter of weeks. It’s February now and we have no new updates but instead, we were questioned by India why we thought we were a good fit for our little boy. We wrote a long letter of appeal, listing out all the reasons why we are perfect for him and tried to debunk all their concerns. Now, we wait and hope for a change of heart.
Prayers appreciated for a quick turnaround and favor…God is still good and we know He’s in control. Just a bit tough to constantly be patient. It’s like you are running a race and you never quite reach the finish line because they keep moving it…. or maybe comparing it to speed bumps would be more ideal. The thing about speed bumps is that you know they’re not stopping you from reaching your destination, it just slows you down.
(Sigh) Don’t you love those speed bumps?
