We started our adoption process earlier this year (in May) and I had no idea in January of this year, that we would be in the middle of an incredible journey with many ups and downs. Needless to say, everyone has their own adoption story and ours has had a very interesting start (& middle). Once again, God has been stretching our faith to believe for huge things, increasing our dependence on Him, teaching us patience, and showing us how he works in unexpected ways-through people HE chooses to use.
I was thinking of how we’ve been blessed with one of the best gifts EVER this Christmas… We had our home study approved just two days ago because of a piece of paper we received this month. We were told we would only receive it the end of January but it showed up one month early! And I, for one, don’t believe in coincidence or luck. It was God’s gift to us this year! And to top it off, I found out we won’t have to redo any paperwork for the dossier we had put together several months ago. What a blessing! (It took me a whole stressful month to get all that stuff together).
What a way to celebrate Christmas and the end of a year. 🙂 I’m reminded how God’s gifts are always the best…especially the One he gave us years ago, wrapped in swaddling clothes in a manger. Talk about a gift that keeps on giving!
