I’ve been waiting to update everyone about a referral we received of a child. We actually received the referral the end of October. I was at an airport waiting for my flight back home when I got a call from our India Program Coordinator at AWAA (our agency). I immediately called Alan to let him know. We’ve been waiting and praying since we lost the referral of Ethan in April of last year. A half a year later, we finally get a match!
Because of what happened last time, we’ve been more cautious and anxious about telling anyone until we had more information. If you know anything about adoption, you’ll know that there are no guarantees and the child is not yours until you are pronounced the legal guardian/parent ….which obviously comes all the way at the end of the game! But God knows how much a blessing you have been in your support and prayers so we would be remiss if we didn’t share this journey with you.
This May, it will be 3 years since we started our adoption journey and boy, what a ride it has been! Just like I mentioned before, we’re praying bold prayers and expecting answered prayers this year. I hope you’ll stand with us! 🙂
