In rolls 2014, Day 2 and we have car problems that need to be fixed that is going to cost us nearly a grand! Sheesh louise! We were determined to knock out all of our adoption expenses from last year that we are diligently making payments on (not including the balance we need to raise this year). :/
And we haven’t heard any more news from our agency who said they’d get back to us in a week or two…it’s been a month. What bothers me more is that my dad was feeling so much better and he started having difficulties with his health again. Just hoping this isn’t a predictor of how this year is going to go. EEK!
But isn’t this the story more often than not? When we take a step forward or things start looking up, we get pulled back several steps or start seeing a downward spiral?
I love how in Proverbs 24:26 it says that the righteous fall but get back up! The righteous FALL. Such a relief to know that it’s not whether we fall or not that defines us…it’s whether we get back up again! So I choose to get back up again. This year, I’m choosing to be joyful in EVERY circumstance and overcome every obstacle with praise. The Bible says in Romans 8:37 that we are more than conquerors so I am determined not to live and feel defeated, stressed out, frustrated, anxious and sulk around. It doesn’t do us any good anyways so why waste the year with a frown?
Look out 2014!!! We just got back up!
